Story Board!

Using the vocabulary about clothing and the sentences we've learned to ask/offer help and opinions:

Create a storyboard of a scene in a French shop. You will need text and drawings. You  need a minimum of 3 characters who are shopping and giving each other advice. You need 10 pictures with text in each of them.

You can chose to have your text inside your pictures or to place it underneath like in the following picture samples:

Create outfits

Color the following article of clothing and create head to feet outfits for the following situations:

- A man in the winter and a man in the summer
- A woman in the fall and a woman in the spring

Use the structure "il porte" or "elle porte". Make sure to describe the color of each item based on the colors you picked!

Project due date

Remember, your project is due September 21st (this coming Monday) after class. When you come to class on Monday you will present your project and take notes about your classmate's. That will be the remaining points of the project. I will be providing you with a grid to fill out with notes. Make sure you take all the notes I ask for, for every person who presents, to get full credit on this part. This part is a very easy 50 points; there is no reason anybody would do poorly on this. If there are things you don't understand, wait for the person to be done talking then ask them to repeat.

You have the option of turning in your project AFTER class on Monday. For instance, if it turns out your presentation was a little weak you will be able to go home and fix up your project before submitting it. The assignment box on Edmodo will close at 11:59pm Monday night. Make sure you click submit before that.

The list of traits is non exhaustive and you may look up some more in the dictionaries we have! Another really good tool is www.wordreference.com. It's a giant database of multi languages and people from all over the world contribute to threads to clarify confusing meanings/usage of words. It's really cool, I encourage you to use it when you're looking up vocabulary. As always, stay away from Google Translate.

French 2 Review Project:

Here it is guys! The big first!
In this project, you will be reviewing most of the concepts you've learned last year and use them in one big project all together

We're gonna start off with some (hopefully) helpful links to review what you did last year and complete your project!

For your project you will need to create a character and give him or her a life, a family, likes and dislikes etc. You will need to be able to talk about this character in depth and in full sentences, in written and spoken form. But I will give more details in class!

The project will be completed on poster boards (you will need two) and a page about the character will be typed and turned in electronically.
